Family Medicine Academic Project
The Family Medicine Academic Project (FMAP) website is a general information website for post-graduate medical students. Each student must complete an academic project in a hospital or clinical setting. Because of the complex nature of the research these students undertake, this resource was developed to help inform students and create a repository of expert answers to questions the students pose on the website. Axon was responsible for design and development of FMAP.
This resource is content-managed using WordPress. The major feature of FMAP was a Knowledge Bank that allows students to ask questions on the website and have them answered and posted by content experts in their field. Administrators have the ability to assign questions to experts, modify and answer questions and publish them to the website. The system automatically emails the original asker when the answer has been posted and prompts them to rate the question.
